Product Overview
Ask any machine integrator to sketch a photoelectric sensor and the odds are they draw the E3Z outline. Our factory-direct E3Z series embraces that: the same compact 31 × 11 × 22 mm PBT body, the same suffix logic, produced in Foshan as a localized supply option for buyers who want the format they know with shorter lead paths and factory-level pricing.
The sensing lineup covers the two workhorse modes. Diffuse-reflective versions detect the target directly, in three adjustable windows — 30–100 mm, 30–200 mm and 30–300 mm — so you buy only as much optical reach as the station needs. Through-beam versions pair an emitter and receiver across up to 5 m and switch on beam interruption, indifferent to target color or gloss.
Every variant ships in all four output flavors — NPN or PNP, normally-open or normally-closed — on a 10–30 VDC supply behind an IP65 housing. One series, both PLC wiring philosophies, no bracket changes.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Diffuse 30–100 mm (adjustable) | E3Z-D61 | E3Z-D62 | E3Z-D81 | E3Z-D82 |
| Diffuse 30–200 mm (adjustable) | E3Z-20N1 | E3Z-20N2 | E3Z-20P1 | E3Z-20P2 |
| Diffuse 30–300 mm (adjustable) | E3Z-30N1 | E3Z-30N2 | E3Z-30P1 | E3Z-30P2 |
| Through-beam 5 m | E3Z-T61 | E3Z-T62 | E3Z-T81 | E3Z-T82 |
Confirm actual Light-ON / Dark-ON behavior against your wiring at commissioning — NO/NC designations describe output state on target detection.

Typical Applications
Part-in-Place Checks
Three adjustable diffuse ranges (100/200/300 mm) match different station geometries without changing the housing.
Packaging Machines
Near-range diffuse setting with sensitivity trim confirms cartons, films and small packs at close working distances.
Cross-Conveyor Detection
The 5 m through-beam version spans wider belts and aisles, unaffected by target color or gloss.
Tight OEM Sub-Assemblies
At 31×11×22 mm the body tucks into mechanisms where standard rectangular sensors will not go.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a drop-in for existing E3Z-type sensors?
That is the design intent. The series keeps the compact 31 x 11 x 22 mm E3Z-format body and the model-code conventions integrators already stock and wire (D61/D81, T61/T81, N1/P1 and so on), manufactured as a localized, factory-direct supply option. Match your existing suffix in the selection table below, and confirm mounting and beam geometry at your station as usual.
How do I pick between NPN and PNP?
Match the PLC input card: NPN (sinking) outputs pull the signal low and are the norm in Japanese/Asian-style wiring; PNP (sourcing) outputs drive the signal high and dominate European panels. The E3Z series carries both in every sensing variant, so one footprint serves mixed equipment fleets.
What do the three diffuse ranges mean in practice?
D-series adjusts within 30-100 mm, the 20-series within 30-200 mm, and the 30-series within 30-300 mm. Pick the smallest range that covers your working distance — a tighter optical window is inherently less sensitive to background objects behind the target.
When is the through-beam version the better choice?
Choose the T-series (5 m, separate emitter and receiver) when the target is dark, glossy or variable in color, or when the span exceeds what diffuse sensing can reach. Beam interruption does not care about surface finish, which is why through-beam is the stability benchmark.
What are the electrical and environmental ratings?
10-30 VDC supply, IP65-rated PBT housing — dust-tight and splash-proof for general factory conditions. Response time, temperature range and minimum target size are not published for this series; ask the factory if your application depends on them.
Can I use the E3Z to protect operators at a hazard point?
No. The E3Z is a general-purpose presence sensor, not an IEC 61496-certified safety component, and must never be used alone for personnel protection. Specify a certified safety light curtain (e.g. our DQC series) for guarding tasks.
What is the MOQ and export lead time?
Trial quantities are normally workable and common variants ship fast from Foshan factory stock. Send model codes and quantities (e.g. E3Z-D61 x 100, E3Z-T81 x 40) for a quotation covering MOQ, lead time, packing and available documentation.
Do you support OEM branding or mixed-model consolidated shipments?
Yes — as the manufacturer we can quote OEM programs and consolidate mixed sensor models (photoelectric, proximity, light curtains) into one export shipment. Raise it in your enquiry and we will confirm feasibility for your quantities.
