What is the maximum detection range of the DDSK-J outdoor laser beam sensor?

The DDSK-J series offers selectable outdoor warning distances of 0–100m, 200m, 300m and up to 500m, making it suited to long-range outdoor perimeter detection. Range is set per project, so the same sensor covers a fence line, yard boundary or large open site without changing hardware. The 500m model is the longest-reach option in the series.

Is the DDSK-J laser beam sensor safe for the eyes?

Yes. The DDSK-J uses a Class I laser light source, which under normal use will not cause harmful optical radiation to the eyes. It is available with a 660nm visible beam for easy alignment or a 980nm invisible beam for covert installation, so the perimeter line stays hidden from intruders while remaining eye-safe for staff.

How well does it perform in rain, fog and snow outdoors?

The laser beam has stronger penetration than infrared, helping suppress interference from wind, frost, rain, snow and fog for better stability in harsh outdoor weather. The housing is rated IP67 with a 304 stainless-steel shell and die-cast aluminium base, and it operates from −25°C to 70°C at up to 95% humidity, suiting year-round outdoor perimeter use.

What output and response time does the alarm provide?

The alarm output is normally closed or normally open selectable, with contact capacity of AC125V/0.5A or DC24V/1A max, so it wires directly into most alarm panels and PLCs. Response time is adjustable at 50ms, 100ms, 300ms or 700ms, and the alarm holds for 1.5s. Multi-beam occlusion modes (1, 2 or 3 adjacent beams) reduce false alarms from birds or debris.

How is the DDSK-J aligned and what can be mounted with it?

The optical axis adjusts ±15° horizontally and ±15° vertically, and a four-digit digital display shows each beam's real-time signal so alignment and debugging are straightforward. Beams are spaced 15cm apart, each on a unique frequency to prevent crosstalk. It installs on walls or posts indoors or outdoors and supports infrared cameras, alarm lights and searchlights as accessories.
