Product Characteristics

Working Principle

The JNS Series detector operates by emitting infrared beams between a transmitter and receiver. When an intruder interrupts the specified number of beams (two, three or four) simultaneously, the device triggers an alarm via the relay contact output. The anti-sunlight feature minimizes false alarms caused by direct sunlight or strong reflections, while the anti-theft design ensures the device cannot be silently removed — tampering opens the anti-disassembly contact and signals the alarm panel.

Product Introduction

The JNS Series Wired Infrared Detector is an advanced security device designed to protect perimeters with anti-sunlight and anti-theft capabilities. Available in eight models with different beam configurations and detection ranges, it integrates directly into wired security systems — alarm panels, access-control controllers, video-surveillance NVRs with sensor inputs, and PLC-based site monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the anti-sunlight feature reduce false alarms on a JNS infrared beam detector?

Direct sunlight and strong reflections are the most common cause of nuisance trips on outdoor perimeter beams. The JNS series uses optical filtering tuned to its own infrared wavelength plus a synchronised transmitter/receiver pair, so ambient light is rejected. An alarm fires only when the specified number of beams (2, 3 or 4) is interrupted simultaneously, which sunlight cannot do.

Which JNS model should I choose for my wall or fence length?

Match the warning distance to your span: JNS2-60S covers 60 m, the 100 m models suit short walls, and JNS3-200S or JNS4-250S protect long perimeters up to 200–250 m. More beams give a taller detection curtain and harder-to-defeat coverage, so 3- and 4-beam models suit higher fences and security-critical sites.

How do I wire the JNS detector to an alarm panel?

Each unit provides a relay 1C contact output (COM, NC, NO) rated AC 16 V / DC 24 V at 3 A max, which connects directly to any alarm panel, access controller or PLC sensor input. A separate anti-disassembly contact 1B (COM, NC, DC 30 V / 0.5 A max) wires to a tamper zone. Power is a wide DC 12–24 V or AC 9–16 V, minimum 4 W.

Can the JNS detector work outdoors in cold or condensing conditions?

Yes. The rated operating range is −25 °C to +55 °C and the PC outer shell over an ABS body is UV-stable and impact-resistant. For sites prone to frost or condensation on the lens, optional heating accessories keep the optics clear so the warning field stays reliable through winter.

How do I align the optical axis during installation?

Mount the transmitter and receiver facing each other along the protected line. The optics adjust ±90° to 180° horizontally and 90° vertically, and built-in light-receiving and OK indicators plus a test terminal confirm alignment. Aim each beam until the OK indicator is steady, then lock the housing — the anti-theft design prevents the unit being silently removed afterwards.
